Digital Health’s monthly roundup of contracts and go lives

The latest roundup of contracts and go lives includes two East Midlands hospital trusts implementing Nervecentre’s electronic patient record (EPR) and System C’s BadgerNet maternity system launching on the Yorkshire and Humber Care Record.
Doncaster and Bassetlaw to go live with shared care record
Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust announced plans to implement the Yorkshire and Humber Care Record (YHCR), connecting records from hospitals, GPs, mental health services and social care providers in the region.
The YHCR, which is powered by Interweave, is being deployed via the South Yorkshire Shared Care Record (SYSCR) programme, which is part of NHS England’s wider national Connecting Care Records (ConCR) initiative – which was due to be completed by March 2025.
Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals has established a communications plan to help roll out the new platform across teams and departments.
Two East Midlands hospital trusts go live with Nervecentre EPR
University Hospitals of Derby and Burton Foundation Trust and Chesterfield Royal Hospital Foundation Trust have gone live with Nervecentre’s electronic patient record (EPR).
The first module of the EPR launched across six hospitals in February 2025 as part of a collaborative multi-year digital transformation programme, following 10 months of planning and development.
Nervecentre’s system works best on handheld devices, meaning that staff can now use mobile phones and tablets to document patient care.
Careology and Entia partner to enhance cancer care pathways
Digital cancer care platform Careology has partnered with Entia to help patients with cancer self-manage more of their treatment from home.
The collaboration, which began on 17 March 2025, integrates Entia’s at home blood-monitoring solution, Liberty, with Careology’s platform allowing patients to perform their own blood tests so that clinicians can remotely monitor how they are responding to treatment.
The at-home tests are intended to alleviate the burden of routine patient assessments and pave the way for personalised, preventative care pathways.
BadgerNet launched on Yorkshire and Humber Care Record
System C’s BadgerNet maternity system has been connected to the Yorkshire and Humber Care Record and is now providing data to feed into the care records.
BadgerNet is a fully paperless early pregnancy and maternity system which follows the entire course of a woman’s care and pregnancy, including all those involved in her care.
The shared care record solution in use across six integrated care systems in the region, Interweave, is hosted by Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust and went live with BadgerNet on 17 February 2025.
NHS Lanarkshire to launch eTriage to improve patient safety
NHS Lanarkshire is introducing eTriage, a digital check-in and triage system designed to improve patient safety.
eTriage, which will be launched in spring 2025, is an easy-to-use yet advanced digital system that involves the patient self-registering when they arrive in an Emergency Department.
It supports clinicians by gathering key patient information at the point of arrival, allowing for faster assessment and prioritisation of care.
The system, provided by eConsult, will not replace staff-led triage but will help to ensure patients receive the correct care as quickly as possible.
